Cauterant Mix (24 x 500mL)

Cauterant Mix is a powerful drying fluid, that, when applied to incisions, skin slip, ulcers and broken skin, will help to cauterise, preserve, disinfect and deodorise the affected area. Used hypodermically it will bleach and assist in arresting the progress of tissue gas. Cauterant Mix is ideal for application to exposed tissue-cavities in autopsy cases.

Both Cauterant Mix and Cauterant Penetrating have powerful properties that aid the arrest of saprophytic bacteria and decomposition, and help destroy or render inactive other microorganisms in the tissues treated. Both products, when hypodermically injected into the tissue, aid in cauterisation, reduction of swollen tissue and can also be used successfully as surface packs. Seal all surface packs with plastic wrap to arrest fumes.
